Please Read: Cannons Coaches and On the Field Parents - 2020 Concussion Training
/Hello Cannons Baseball coaches and families. The 2020 practice season has begun, and it’s time to start thinking about player and staff safety at Cannons’ practice facilities and on the ball fields in the Spring.
Caring about the safety and enjoyment of the game of baseball for our young ballplayers sometimes involves going beyond attending practices, games and all of the other forms of important support that we provide to the organization and our children. Learning about prevention, diagnosis, and care for jarring head injuries resulting in concussions is especially worthy of a short bit of our time.
Cannons coaches, and parents that might be helping with their teams this season, are asked to take basic concussion training via the CDC’s website. The course is interesting and does not take much time to complete in one online session.
The informative course can be found at:
https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/training/index.html
Run the course by clicking the “Launch the HEADS UP Course” link as seen circled in red below.
On behalf of the entire Cannons family and players – thank you!
